Apache ActiveMQ Security Plugin
TTM's ActiveMQ Security Plugin provides dynamically reconfigurable authentication and authorization security services for the ActiveMQ message broker. Dynamic reconfiguration allows you to update the plugin's configuration (users, passwords, groups, access control lists, etc) without having to stop and restart the ActiveMQ message broker. The package also includes the following:
- MD5-obfuscated passwords. The plugin's file security realm supports passwords that have been obfuscated via the MD5 (Message-Digest algorithm 5) cryptographic hash function. This provides the added security of not having to store passwords in clear text.
- An extended version of the ActiveMQ CommandAgent called, "TtmCommandAgent". Unlike the CommandAgent, the TtmCommandAgent works within a secured ActiveMQ message broker environment. In other words, TtmCommandAgent can be given authentication credentials (username and password), which it uses to connect with a broker that requires such credentials.
- A JMX administrative MBean, which allows you to view the plugin's properties and issue commands to the plugin.
